John and his team were recommended to us by family members who had used JG Design & Build to deliver a double storey side and back extension. Having seen the end product, we didn’t hesitate to get in touch with John to arrange an appointment for our own project – a single storey back and side extension with a new bathroom upstairs.
From the very first meeting, John was impressive. He is an honest and reliable person who is keen to deliver a quality end product for clients at a fair price with minimal stress and inconvenience. We were glad John could see to our entire project, including the drawings and planning permission as we didn’t want the hassle of handling that ourselves.
John is very cost conscious and was keen to help us save as much money as we could along the way – providing good contacts for both kitchen and bathroom products plus floor and wall tiles. This certainly helped us remain within our overall project budget.
John is very good with communication and made sure we knew exactly where we were at each stage of the project. He was also reachable 24/7 for any questions or concerns we may have had.
An important part of the project for us was the interaction / management of our neighbours. We explained this to John at the outset as we had a bad experience at our previous house. John and his team were very good with our neighbours, always making sure they were kept happy throughout the project. Our neighbours have been very complimentary.
John and his team delivered our project on time and within budget. Sam and I are extremely happy with the end product and we now have the fantastic open plan kitchen, family room and Utility that we have always wanted. Our upstairs bathroom is now a good size allowing us to have a separate shower and bath. As a family, we like to entertain friends and family particularly in the
garden. With the new open plan kitchen area connecting to the garden, this makes it easy to host such occasions.
We would not hesitate to recommend John and his team to anyone. We are already planning our next project (loft conversion) and we will be looking to use JG Design & Build again for this project.
