John and his team completed a 2 story extension for us in Jan 2018 and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! We used John from the very beginning and he guided us through the planning stage right through to completion.
He is very approachable, friendly and professional as are his whole team. He is exceptionally organised and managed the project really well. From day 1 of the work starting, people arrived every day and it was completed on time in the 12 weeks that John estimated. In fact, if it wasn’t for a week of snow, it would have been finished earlier! John had several jobs going on at the same time but his organisation is so good, you really wouldn’t know.
One of our worries about having work done was that our house is down quite an inaccessible road, making the logistics of deliveries and large vehicles arriving difficult. We had no idea how they were going to do it, but John took all the worries on himself making it a very stress-free experience for us! John managed the situation by building a good rapport with our neighbours, and having things organised like a military operation! Several neighbours have since commented on how great the team were and one neighbour actually chose to use the team for their own extension!
Another worry we had at the start of the work was that we had an 8 week old baby and a 3 year old. People thought we were crazy having such a big project starting with young children around but we needn’t have worried. John is VERY clean and tidy. He boarded up at the start of the job and forever had someone sweeping up at the end of the day. Tools were all kept out of the way and the whole team were great with our children!
Throughout the project, we were kept well informed of what was going on. If I ever needed him, he was easily accessible and always answered the phone or returned the call quickly. When it came to choosing our kitchen, bathroom and flooring, John had people that he recommended and did his best to keep prices down for us. We fully trusted his judgement from his years of experience and we were right to as we have been over the moon with the results.
It was a pleasure having JG Design and Build do the work at our house and if we ever need any work done in the future we wouldn’t choose anyone else.
