John Goodman has been named the most Heavenly Builder in the Eastern region as part of the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB) Master Builder Awards 2019.
Since 1999, the Master Builder Awards has been a flagship for high-quality building work, showcasing examples of fantastic craftsmanship, exceptional customer service and building excellence. Organised by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), the awards programme is unique in that any project entered by the builder must be backed up by the customer – giving clients the opportunity to support those building companies that have delivered exceptional results. Organised by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), the awards programme recognises the hard work and contribution that small and medium-sized construction firms make to the UK construction industry.
The Heavenly Builder category is one in which the winner really epitomises what the awards are all about as it looks for evidence of professionalism, courtesy and exceptional customer service.
John was selected as winner for work carried out on an extension to a family home. John’s exceptional communication, project and people management skills were noted as he ensured the project stayed on course, paying close attention to his team, his contractors and his suppliers. He made sure his clients were consistently kept up to date at every stage of the build, informing and explaining to them the whole build process.
Judges were also impressed by John’s team at J G Design & Build Ltd as the clients praised the builders for being exceptionally considerate, respectful and friendly as well as keeping the site impressively clean and tidy throughout. It is clear that John leads by example and expects high standards from his staff.
John is now in with a chance of winning the national category title at the Master Builder Awards. The national ceremony will be held at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London on 20th September.
